So for my first meal, I ended up at the House of Flame Burgers in Ruidoso. I had planned on visiting somewhere I had never been before, but for some reason my GPS would not track me, and I didn’t really feel like getting lost by going too far off the beaten path.
While my plans may have changed, they definitely didn’t change for the worse. This little restaurant is nestled in an almost equally little mall, where I’m sure it brings the vast majority of business.
I ordered the Number 1 with no hesitation, and began waiting with heavy anticipation, as this was my first meal of the day.
It was a bit cold, and the wait seemed a bit long for how many people were there, just over 20 minutes, but it was well worth it.

The burger was quite good, having only mayo and mustard as condiments, with lettuce, tomato, onion, and of course, green chile.

And while all the tomato ended up on the same side of the burger, it was very enjoyable.
This burger had slices of seemingly freshly roasted green chile, and while there was a decent amount of it, I would have preferred more of it, and for it to be spicier.
The restaurant was nicely decorated with Ruidoso-themed things, and was well kept, so it gave off a very good vibe.
Additionally, there was a nice cashier/hostess who kept a very good eye on the customers, while at the same time making sure all the tables remained clean.
Overall, I would definitely recommend House of Flame Burgers for anyone looking for a good burger in Ruidoso.
